tangled up in love

I am in love with this movie. I'm currently dizzy with love that I feel like doing star jumps.
One of the best Disney movies I've ever watched. The graphics were absolutely amazing and so were the characters. The storyline was very complete and very... heart-warming. The movie itself was just magical and captivating.
Where should I even start? I should start with a random fact about me during the movie. I could feel the love and warmth while watching it. It was the best feeling that I ever experienced. Don't you just love it when movies do that to you?
Rapunzel is really pretty and her personality is fantastic. I love how she's just so curious about everything. And she has those big green eyes and lovely long hair. Later on, (spoiler) her hair was still gorgeous even after it got cut off. All I can say is that Mandy Moore was the best choice to play Rapunzel. She can sing and act, so it isn't that awkward because you know it's the same person when she's singing or talking. Her voice is really good (quote my sister and mom and my thoughts).

Flynn Rider is the dashingly handsome hero of the story, of course. He's a very charming and romantic character, the Prince Charming that every girl is waiting for (or at least I am. LOL!). He's good-looking too! I just loved the way his dark hair flopped around and how every part of his face was perfect. His facial expressions were hilarious and adorable.
The huge spoiler was when he revealed that his name was Eugene. I mean, what's wrong with Flynn? It's good enough and it suits him but whatever. They didn't mention Eugene a lot anyway. Zachary Levi was amazing. His voice is pretty good too and he actually sang a few songs. I never had anything against his acting or him. And Flynn was supposed to have a British accent. I'm so glad that he didn't. That would've been so... I don't know how to say it but it doesn't seem suitable for a character like that.
What can I say about Mother Gothel? She's the wicked woman, alright. She kinda reminded me of Cher. The way she looked. Maybe they used her as the face model but never mind about that. Her character was downright vicious and cruel.
Pascal, the Chameleon and Maximus, the horse, were also the highlights of the movie. Pascal was small and cute, especially when he blended in with other colors. Maximus was a horse who acted like a dog and he became good friends with Flynn in the end.
My favorite part was when the lanterns went up into the sky. It felt as if I was there too, to see the beautiful lights and everything. Magical! Okay, I have so many favorite parts but I can't name them all here. There were some emotional parts, like when the king started crying. I don't know but you can't go through those sad parts without crying. Some of the parts were cheesy, in a good way.
The soundtrack is great. Mandy Moore is a wonderful singer. I've listened to her songs when I was younger but eventually stopped because she didn't have many songs on the radio and because I was exposed to mainstream music which was (and still is) kinda stereotypical of me. I should definitely start listening to her songs again. Especially the ones with Zachary Levi in it!
Conclusion : I really love this movie and you should watch it too. Even my mom loves it. It's not cheesy; it's still very enjoyable. A very, very good movie. I would give it an 11/10 rating. I can't wait to watch it again.
Oh man, I'm still feeling giddy about this movie. Actually I've been feeling giddy about it since 4 months ago. No, it's not hard to believe. I watched the trailer about 5 times. I even posted it here.
Just watch it! And you'll understand that it's not just because I'm having that aftermath movie feeling.
Oh, Flynn Rider! (this is for my mom) OH, here comes the smolder!

she says nothing’s forever

I nearly bought this in a gorgeous shade of purple but I passed up the opportunity since I already splurged on a pair of cute floral lace-up wedge heels. This Marc Jacobs bag is still on my mind but I will let it go.
In the mean time, there's no harm in having a Miss Marc by Marc Jacobs wish list, right?

Okay, this bronze is so attractive and I can soooo see myself carrying this though I'm not a big fan of handbags. The Miss Marc printed on the bag is adorable.

Hobo bags are my favorite so this is definitely a bag I would buy. It's so simple yet pretty. And the little knot on the strap is so creative. I love this!

Throw in the sunblock, sunglasses and a good book into this cute bag and I'm all set to hit the beach. Totes are so useful. I love huge bags like these which I can simply dump my things into.

So this bag is a little longer but it's totally buy-able. Very chic and go-to-the-movies type of bag. Not quit sure about the handbag strap though. I prefer longer handles so that I actually sling it onto my shoulder.

Like this strap. So cute! I love the design for this bag. It's my favorite. She's so me! And this is the type of pink you'd catch me buying. I would not actually buy anything pink but this is different. Do you like it?

Another hobo bag with cute pockets. I like! The green-blue hue makes this bag look so fun and cheery. Simplicity is the key to my heart. No chains and weird buckles for me.

This isn't exactly in the Miss Marc line but it's Marc Jacobs too. I love the color and design but I just hope that the chain won't cut into my shoulder.
Okay, end of my wish list. Christmas is coming. Any generous people out there? (:
i will stand by you forever

Adam Brody is so freaking cute! (: My new love. Doesn't he remind you of Jesse Eisenberg from Zombieland? C says it's because they both have curly hair. Mmm, cute! Get lost, Nick Wheeler. Come back when you've gotten rid of that awful pink bike. LOL.

This is Mom's new addiction, Enrique Iglesias. Get lost, Paul Walker. Come back when put out a record. LOL.

Mmhmm, get to the side.

Adam Levine is C's new love. Woooooo! Mmm... Can't wait for their new album.

Robert Hoffman is my grandaunt's favorite. Yes, the Step Up guy. LOL!!!
Okay, the end.

i saw you there, so beautiful

I am in love with Nick Wheeler all over again.
Blame the Warped Tour videos that I just watched. I knew I shouldn't have gone and searched up the 2010 videos. Blehhh! Oh, and blame those cute sneakers he was wearing.
I mean, he hasn't worn sneakers in what seems like ages so this is a huge improvement. Must he be so cute? OHMYGODINLOVEWITHNICKOLASWHEELER.
But that pink bicycle must go! ): It must. I mean it. I'm green-eyed, yes, I am.

love will set you free

Images plucked from Tumblr.
Nice legs, gorgeous heels. I saw a pair of zebra print heels the other day. Mouthwatering, I tell you. Oh well, too bad I'm not getting it. I guess imagining myself in them is good enough. If only I had legs as long and slim as this person's... Lol.

Yes, I joined Tumblr last week or so. It's fun. I mean, it's mostly reblogging but that's a fun concept. I enjoy reblogging pretty stuff and inspirational words and stuff like that. I mean, it's relaxing, you know, to admire pretty pictures then reblog them. I only go in when I feel bored. I'm only following 80+ people but every time I go to sleep and wake up the next day, there's tons (!!!) of stuff on the dashboard.
And it's nice being someone unknown for a change. (: I'm not telling you what my Tumblr link is. Just enjoy the beautiful photos I'll post here. Never understood the fuss about Tumblr. Now I do. It might be a bit confusing at first because you don't know where to follow people and stuff but you'll get the hang of it pretty soon. And their blogging concept is easy to understand.

Kisses for my mom, the best person I know, will ever know. (:
P.S: Any suggestions for which charity we should blog for this coming Blogathon? (:

This is for you. I want to tell you that everything is going to be okay. No matter how un-okay things might seem to you, I want to assure you that it will be. I wish that I could be there but since I can't, I guess my words here will have to do. At times when I seemed indifferent to your pain or hurt, I didn't mean any of it. More than anything, I didn't want to bring down your hope because crying alongside you would seem worse.
I love you and trust me, I'll be here always even when everyone's stepping on your head or snubbing you or not feeling any of your pain. That's what *s are for. (: Keep lifting your head up and smiling because a smile makes even the worst situation feel okay.

Lifehouse - By Your Side
All I want now is to be with you
Cause you know I've been everywhere else
Looking back at what you got me through
You knew me better than I knew myself
When I feel lost and I can't find my way
When words are at a loss I can hear you say
I'll be by your side, when all hope has died
I will still be around oh and I, I'm still on your side
When everything's wrong, I will still be around
By your side
Fighting my way back to where you are
The only place I ever felt at home
Stumbling backwards through the dark
I know how it feels to be alone
And where we go is where I wanna be
And in the silence I hear you say to me
I'll be by your side, when all hope has died
I will still be around, oh and I, I'm still on your side
When everything's wrong, I will still be around
I can't wait another day to show my space between
Your heart and mine, and you're all that I need
You say I
I'll be by your side, when all hope has died
I will still be around, oh and I, I'm still on your side
When everything's wrong, I will still be around
By your side, by your side, by your side, by your side, by your side

It will be okay.

The Losers. Now that was a pretty good show if I must say so myself. I read some negative reviews about the movie but I personally found it entertaining and not quite as bad as they say it is. Went with the family so it was good company and good movie wrapped in one. Perfect!
Everyone in the cinema couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire movie. Yes, it was just plain funny and sometimes laughably corny but funny all the same. It's a bit predictable but there are some turns and some pretty intense moments which make it all the more interesting and I sound like a big fat ad but I can't help it because it's true.
I like the cast. I think they chose really suitable people to portray the characters so that helped. I mean, I still can't decide who I like best in the movie. Zoe Saldana was smoking hot but isn't she nearly always? I mean, that's why she's on the list of hottest women, right? Oh, and why are all the baddies in the movies such business-like people? What happened to those rugged bad boys and wicked guys? Look at Iron Man 2, for instance. That Justin Hammer was perpetually dressed in a clean suit just like Max in this movie.
The weapons were kinda cool and not as exaggerated as you might think. I like how everyone has their own specialty and quirkiness especially Jensen's button-cute tees -
- . It makes everything more realistic. The script was well-written. I think the beauty of a movie depends mostly on the script. You can have good actors and good sets and good everything but if the script is lousy, there goes the movie. The soundtrack is also important because who doesn't like music?
Ohmyfreakinggawd, Chris Evans is nerdy hot in the movie. I always thought of him as cute (Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four *wink wink*) but when I realized that the cute geek in the movie was him, I just fell for him. Swoooon. LOL. I know my mom thinks he's pretty darned cute too. Hmm... cuter than Paul Walker?

Muahahahaha. Just maybe, hmm?
The Takers is next on our list of movies to watch.

california girls
While I'm lying here, befriending everyone else on Google Friend Connect, I'm thinking about the conversation a few girlfriends and I had today. Fridays at school can be a drag or they can be fun. We had like 3 free periods today so it was a pretty empty day.
I have no idea how our conversation started but I think it started when one of my friends, Meg, asked me if I knew any good dress shops. You see, her brother's getting married soon and she has yet to pick out the perfect dress. I happened to know that we had a fashionista and avid shopper in our class - Nikki. She's a cheerleader and she's the perfect shopping partner or so I like to think.
Suddenly Deb (who is prone to burst into conversations unexpectedly) and Sonja are pulling their chairs up to join in on our little chat. And you know how we girls can never just talk about one thing for long. We covered a few things but the main topics of discussion were dresses and books.
Interesting conversations and for me, I don't find myself talking about fashion with my friends often. It's my mom whom I confide my taste in fashion to. My friends don't know I have a passion for high heels or my liking towards flip flops and unfussy clothes.

I dig Megan Fox and Katy Perry's style - chic and uber cute and sometimes classy. Taylor Swift is a little too, um, weird for me. I've never thought of myself as a dress-wearing, accessory-donning type of girl. I'm more into jeans and flip flops and plain T-shirts which Taylor doesn't wear. I don't get why girls don't like pants.
Anyways, us girls talked about dress shops and budgets. Meg said that her budget was under a thousand bucks. I swear we all gawked at her like she was nuts. I don't think she's aware of the fact that normal dresses don't usually cost that much. We're not exactly celebrities, you know.
Then the conversation drifted for a while. Deb, Sonja and Nikki started talking about some specific shop. Meg looked at me and asked me if I knew any good shops that sell high heels. Oh my god, I looooove shoe-shopping. I think I spend more on shoes than clothes.
I told her a few places which I think sells pretty decent shoes. Then Meg turned to Deb and asked her what she thought of high heels. We had a really silly conversation.
Meg: Hey, Deb, what do you think of high heels?
Me: Hey, Nikki, are you a fan of high heels?
Nikki (eyes wide with excitement): Definitely!
Deb: Oh my god, no. Don't even talk to me about high heels. That day I stood for two hours in heels this high (about two inches) and it was torturous.
Sonja, Meg, Nikki, Me: *laughing like maniacs*

Deb: And when I went caroling, I had to wear heels this high (again she shows about two inches of heel) and I nearly died. I swear it was so tiring!
Sonja: I can't imagine what would happen to you if you walked in higher heels.
And then we couldn't stop laughing because Deb just looked so horrified.
Then slowly we began to talk about books because we're enthusiastic readers. Nikki has never read a Meg Cabot or Sophie Kinsella book before. Can you believe that? I can't because I've read almost all their books.
Me, Deb and Sonja decided that The Mediator series by Meg Cabot is the best series. I read The Mediator a couple of years back and I'm still madly in love with the books. I have yet to introduce Susan Elizabeth Phillips to my gal pals. (:
At the end of the day, we decided that it'd be awesome to go out together one day to shop for clothes and books. How girly does that sound? Sounds fun, huh?
i wore a dress, you wore a dark gray T-shirt

I admit I had a slight obsession with black and white pictures and little black dresses the other day. I find the Kate Moss dresses too chic for words. The tiger claw one is unique, don'tcha think? Pretty stuff for a bland day.
