I’m swept away by love
Shape Of My Heart - Backstreet Boys
Kevin is back! Yay! Been waiting for this moment since the day I read that he left the band.
Also, if it's true that AJ and his wife are expecting their first child, Congrats!!
mark the chapter but turn the page
Kids in the Street - All American Rejects
So their new record is out - Kids in the Street. I'm not sure what to make of it. I do like a few tracks, this song being one of them, but I'm pretty much on the fence with the rest of the songs. I like that they're trying out this new direction but some of the songs are just a bit weird to me, both lyrically and musically.
Anyway, this video is not too bad - kind of made sense - but to me, some parts are just a bit inappropriate (?). What I like about this video is that it shows all four of them and not just Tyson. That's what a band video should be like, everyone should get their fair share of screen time. Go watch it, tell me what you think.
P.S: Nick, I still love you. Seriously. You and I should get together some time. We would make great friends.
P.S.S: Chris, you're too cute!
we might have missed Music Monday
When Will Anderson from Parachute does a cover of Gavin DeGraw's 'Not Over You' and it sounds like magic.
Message from us to Will, "We love you."
P.S: Please vote for Gavin on DWTS. Vote on abc.com. Thanks!
i wanna walk away too

The end of February marks the anniversary of our very first concert.
The first concert that we ever attended was the Backstreet Boys' concert. Being huge BSB fans, we didn't really have to persuade Mom to let us go to the concert. In fact, Mom wanted to go as well. See how it helps to have the same taste in music as your mom?
It was one of the best days in my life even if we did have to stand in the rain for hours. My feet were aching at the end of the day and I think my voice was sore from all that screaming but going to a Backstreet Boys concert is really worth all the blisters and sore throats that follows after the concert. They're the real deal, I'm telling you. You don't go to their concert to listen to auto-tuned voices or lip-syncing or to be awed by extravagant backdrops or glitzy costumes. It's pure vocal power.
I know the lyrics to all their songs except a few on their latest album This Is Us. Their style has somewhat changed since Unbreakable (my favorite album) and I can't say that I dig their new music.
Hope they go experiment a little but stay true to their original stuff.
C and I celebrate our BSB concert anniversary annually by scribbling the date onto the posters we collected from the concert. Good times.

I don't care what anyone has to say. I love the Rejects and I love this song. I'm just a little bit disappointed that Nick, Mike and Chris didn't get much screen time. Seriously, Chris is only visible for 1 second. I mean, yeah, the lead singer should get a little bit more attention but the other members are equally important! I notice the same thing going on in Maroon 5's videos. Adam gets 90% screen time. Not fair, people, not fair.
Anyways, check this song out. It's the first single off their upcoming album, Kids In The Street.
The record comes out March 26. Coincidentally, Katy Perry's rerelease of Teenage Dream as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection comes out on March 27. Wait for it.
the girl most likely to fall for the

This is all T's fault. She's got me hooked on Parachute. I can't get enough of their songs and videos. I get so mad because they don't have enough interviews and live performances on Youtube. I even had a dream about them! Finally I'm in love with a band after that crazy obsession with Supernatural. Uh oh.
Their songs are so easy to sing because the lyrics are really smooth and nice. Their live performances are good and effortless. All of the band members are musically talented too! They're really creative when it comes to acoustic live performances because they use different instruments (I don't know what some of them are called) and take music to a whole new level.
My current favorite song is White Dress because it's so funky and catchy. I've already listened to Halfway 60 times this month so that probably says something...
Well, I'm not gonna tell you which Parachute I'm crushing on, so you'll just have to make assumptions to satisfy your suspicions. All of them are equally cute. Johnny is the first good-looking drummer I've seen. LOL. Kit has really gorgeous hair. Nate (Table Scrappa!) is so crazy-nerdy-cute (please don't let the grammar police see this word) and Will's smile is like a camera flash to a fan girl's eyes and Alex is so funny!
I'm so excited that T said she wants to play the guitar again because of Parachute. I can't wait until all those assignments are over to get started on guitar strings again. I guess I didn't really give up on our dusty, old guitar. I was just waiting for someone to say, "Hey, let's start learning the guitar again" and bam! there you go, that's the green sign for me.

LYRICS:
She sits at the table, the hours get later
He was supposed to be here
She's sure he would have called
She waits a little longer, there's no one in the driveway
No one's said they've seen him
Why is something wrong?
She looks back to the window, and suddenly the phone rings
A voice says something's happened
That she should come right now
Her mind goes to December, she thinks of when he asked her
He bent down on his knee first, and he said
"I want you forever. Forever and always. Through the good and the bad and the ugly. We'll grow old together, forever and always."
She pulls up to the entrance, she walks right to the front desk
They lead her down a million halls, a maze that's never ending
They talk about what happened, but she can barely hear them
She tries to keep a straight face as she walks into the room
She sits by his bedside, held his hand too tight.
They talk about the kids they're gonna have and the good life
The house on the hillside, where they would stay
Stay there forever, forever and always
Through the good and the bad and the ugly
We'll grow old together, and always remember
Whether rich or for poor, or for better. We'll still love each other. Forever and always.
Then she gets an idea, and calls in the nurses, brings up the Chaplin
And he says a couple verses
She borrows some rings from the couple next door
Everybody's laughing, as the tears fall on the floor
She looks into his eyes, and she says
"I want you forever. Forever and always. Through the good and the bad and the ugly. We'll grow old together, and always remember, whether happy or sad or whatever. We'll still love each other, forever and always. Forever and always. Forever and always."
She finishes the vows, but the beeps are getting too slow
His voice is almost too low.
As he says "I will love you forever. Forever and always. Please just remember even if I'm not there. I'll always love you, forever and always."
I discovered this band by pure accident. It started with Maroon 5's Out of Goodbyes video and I ended up clicking on the related videos because their song Kiss Me Slowly was written with Lady Antebellum.
So there ya go. Parachute. Which consists of Will Anderson (lead singer, guitar and piano), Nate McFarland (lead guitar), Kit French (saxophone and keys), Alex Hargrave (bass) and Johnny Stubblefield (drums). They're like this vintage pop rock (I know this genre sounds ridiculous but with the right bands, it's all good) with a Matchbox 20-ish (?), All American Rejects, Boys Like Girls, Maroon 5-ish, Melee and maybe a wee bit of Owlcity fusion. Which comes out sounding really good. I like bands who can sing live and these guys give a good live performance.
Would definitely like to see in concert. (: Loving their new album The Way It Was, by the way.
That is all. Any other song recommendations??
but when beauty met the beast, he froze

I don't usually admit what type of songs/music I personally like but I'll make an exception this time.
I'm super excited for Owl City's upcoming album, All Things Bright And Beautiful. The new songs are definitely catchier and the cute tunes are still there. What I really like about every Owl City songs: The lyrics come from a true dreamer. The words are so different, so interesting. Apple raspberry, strawberry avalanche, butterfly wings, alligator sky -- who even uses these words in a song? Adam Young brings non-living things to life with every lyric. In his songs, he describes coughing engines, tasting the Milky Way, spending afternoons in hot air balloons... I also love electronic-pop tunes he uses. Simple, fun and cute. So far I've fallen in love with 'Deer In The Headlights' and 'Dreams Don't Turn To Dust'. Can't wait for June!
We’ll be fine by Monday
