no more sailors and no more soldiers
I watched Michael that day. Starring John Travolta and a few other famous actors. Basically, it's about a three reporters trying to find out if a man, who claims he's an angel, is really an angel. I like the movie. It's one of those movies you feel like watching again. There were a few laugh out loud moments and I enjoyed the storyline. Adding it to my list of favorite movies. My other favorite movie is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. I think old movies are more enjoyable.
Then, we watched The Losers. My wish came true. I wanted to watch a good movie and so I did. I enjoyed being the only one eating a burger in the cinema since I didn't have dinner.
Okay, never mind, that doesn't matter. I had so much fun laughing. There's probably gonna be a sequel. I can't wait already.
Anyways, I want need to watch Takers. I'm not the only one who needs to watch it. Very interesting cast.
I watched the trailer and it seems interesting. When In Rome is another movie I need to watch. Josh Duhamel and Kristin Bell? Great, let's watch it soon.
a smell of wine and cheap perfume

The Losers. Now that was a pretty good show if I must say so myself. I read some negative reviews about the movie but I personally found it entertaining and not quite as bad as they say it is. Went with the family so it was good company and good movie wrapped in one. Perfect!
Everyone in the cinema couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire movie. Yes, it was just plain funny and sometimes laughably corny but funny all the same. It's a bit predictable but there are some turns and some pretty intense moments which make it all the more interesting and I sound like a big fat ad but I can't help it because it's true.
I like the cast. I think they chose really suitable people to portray the characters so that helped. I mean, I still can't decide who I like best in the movie. Zoe Saldana was smoking hot but isn't she nearly always? I mean, that's why she's on the list of hottest women, right? Oh, and why are all the baddies in the movies such business-like people? What happened to those rugged bad boys and wicked guys? Look at Iron Man 2, for instance. That Justin Hammer was perpetually dressed in a clean suit just like Max in this movie.
The weapons were kinda cool and not as exaggerated as you might think. I like how everyone has their own specialty and quirkiness especially Jensen's button-cute tees -
- . It makes everything more realistic. The script was well-written. I think the beauty of a movie depends mostly on the script. You can have good actors and good sets and good everything but if the script is lousy, there goes the movie. The soundtrack is also important because who doesn't like music?
Ohmyfreakinggawd, Chris Evans is nerdy hot in the movie. I always thought of him as cute (Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four *wink wink*) but when I realized that the cute geek in the movie was him, I just fell for him. Swoooon. LOL. I know my mom thinks he's pretty darned cute too. Hmm... cuter than Paul Walker?

Muahahahaha. Just maybe, hmm?
The Takers is next on our list of movies to watch.

I’m sick of laying down alone with this fever

Images from Bing.
We - me, C and the brother - watched Zombieland the other day and it was pretty good though the brother disagreed. He thought it was rather dumb and well, it is kind of predictable and everything but it's a movie you'd watch again and again on rainy days. The movie had some similarities to Left 4 Dead - the weapons and the amusement park.
I really like the cast. Jesse Eisenberg as Columbus; Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee; Emma Stone as Wichita; and Abigail Breslin as Little Rock. We're a little like Columbus - the odd one out and paranoid and hygiene-conscious and all that. I have yet to overcome my fear of clowns. Woody Harrelson is the perfect cowboy for this zombie movie and he's just so funny to watch. I always liked Abigail Breslin. She's just amazing and she's not as catty as Dakota Fanning. Dakota is catty, isn't she? She's got that 'I'm so grown up and I'm so great now' look which I don't really like. And Emma Stone? I totally didn't know that she was from The House Bunny because she looks different.
Anyways, this movie deserves a 8/10 because it's not that scary and it's perfectly watchable.
Go watch it if you haven't. My favorite part was when Tallahassee finally got his Twinkie. I liked the Bill Murray scene least.
Next on my must-watch movie of the month : Ironman 2.

i’ve been looking for the answer somewhere

27 Dresses.
Totally worth watching. 9.5/10 for me. Wonderful storyline.
I was really excited when I saw it was on TV already. T suggested we watch it a few years back and when I said, "Let's go watch it", the movie was already off the cinemas. And lucky for me, I was watching TV before the movie started.
It was worth my 1 hour and 51 minutes. I was practically glued to the screen. My daddy even let me watch the whole movie before going out. Yay.

Katherine Heigl was amazing. I loved her character, Jane. A fun wedding lover who helps others without thinking about her own needs. The beginning of the movie was already attractive. She kept going back and forth to these two weddings she had to attend and it's hilarious that she changes between two dresses in the back of a cab. LOL moment for me.

James Marsden's smile is to die for. He plays Kevin (I'm glad people didn't call him Malcolm, his other name), a (charming and adorable) writer for a newspaper who slowly falls in love with Jane. I loved how he wrote his name on every Friday in Jane's planner. Another LOL moment.

One of my favorite scenes - after Jane tries all her 27 dresses and Kevin comments on every dress.
I thought Tess, Jane's sister, was rather b*tchy but I guess she was okay after she revealed she was just trying to be like Jane. And George was one of the interesting characters too.
Conclusion : They should have more movies / love stories like that because I really, really loved this movie. They don't just focus on two same characters but it focuses on other characters and problems. Definitely looking forwards to more movies like that.
27 Dresses really made my day so much brighter.
Go watch it if you haven't. (:

Mr Smile. Haha!

BTW, Happy Belated Valentine's Day.
Hope you enjoyed your day with your loved ones.

We've been MIA for sometime and I predict we will be MIA in the future until we find our me-time. There hasn't been much going on but keep looking out for our posts. We're looking for interesting happenings around us actually but it's been pretty boring these days.
I'll be working on a game review soon and my top ten will probably be soon.
Okay. That's all. Take care. Ta.

baby, you know that maybe it’s time for miracles

How I spent my weekends healing my muscle aches.
It was surprising how the TV can suddenly crank out some really interesting movies. And coincidentally, I'm always there. Hm, I don't mind watching stupid movies. All I want is to make my cranky mood disappear and my horrible muscle aches to go away.
Becoming Jane is about Jane Austen and her (love)life. I thought it was.. emotional. I mean, I didn't expect much.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a movie you should watch. It's an old movie starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine. It's so smart yet so silly. I love how sweet and naive the girl is to both of them but actually she's the real con-woman. I would definitely watch it again. 22-year-old movie, heh.
Before she was Bella and not so
. Catch That Kid is like a kiddies' movie, I know but I felt like wasting my time so that's how I ended up watching 1/4 of the movie. I had to laugh at some silly parts though. Okay, I am weird.
Head Over Heels, one of my favorites last time. How can you resist the charming grin on Freddie Prinze Jr's face? LOL. Enjoyable movie that even made my dad laugh.
Where The Red Fern Grows is that dog movie I reviewed before. I couldn't bear to watch the whole thing because I would start bawling before the sad parts.
Then, Deadly Encounter. It's about some crazy guy following this woman for a stupid reason. I expected an exciting ending but it wasn't much of an excitement. I had to flinch at some slightly disturbing scenes.
x

My girlfriend told me she doesn't like Adam Lambert's Whataya Want From Me and I was totally horrified.
How can she not like the song? I mean, it was love at first sound for me when I heard it. And the guitar parts are so catchy. I never imagined someone not liking the song. Puh-lease, my mom likes it, okay? I'm so in love with the song now. And the video, of course.
I was horrified at that and my friends were horrified at me. Because I told them I thought Adam Lambert was hot. He is, in a different way! T and I were shrieking at his good looks in his latest video until we were told to shut up.
It's okay if you don't like the song. Now I can have it all to myself!
x

Music got me back into my good mood.
But I really prefer it this way - just me and music, music and me, alone.
It's funny how my playlist communicates with me by guessing the song I want to listen, making me smile through the whole song until I realize it's just coincidence or just me, hoping too much. Sometimes it scares me how it just hits the bulls' eye without missing a beat. It's as if it understands my feelings like a horse does.
A few of my favorite songs made my day and it's that easy.
It really feels so good to smile. I wish more people would make me smile, though.
Oh, I'mma do the top ten for this week during the weekends. I should include the 2010 albums I can't wait for as well before they're all released. And I really hope this post is .. satisfying. BTW, I love Michael Learns To Rock. Do you?
x

Pwetty. (:
Did you put that smile on my face or was it just my imagination?
i apologize for acting tough

Now you can officially say that I like Adam Brody somewhat.
Watched Jennifer's Body and found it enjoyable if not somewhat laughable. It wasn't as bad as everyone described it and Megan Fox didn't deserve the Worst Actress of 2009. Kristen Stewart did. At least Megan Fox can manage to look pretty without even trying. Kristen, on the other hand, has no talent and no, um, uh, can we even call it attractiveness?

Nice smile... NOT.

She beats you any day, Kristen. At least some people didn't get voted as Sexiest Woman Alive or Top 100 Most Beautiful People just because they acted in a stupid teenage vampire movie.
Anywaaaays, back to Adam Brody. He's the supposed lead singer of the band Low Shoulder in the movie and dang, I have a thing for guys with eyeliner. Okay, some guys... LOL! I love the song they play repeatedly throughout the entire movie. It's called Through The Trees and I listen to it whenever I feel crappy... which is like almost every day.

C asked me to post this for her so here it is. In the flesh. I mean, on the screen.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH !

Happy New Year again!
I'm late. Yes, I know.
Sorry about that. A new year means new things to plan and organize. Been slightly busy with this and that but I'm here now. To blog... about New Year's day and whatnot.
First off,

May this year bring you joy, happiness, wealth, prosperity, good health, whatever whatever. All good things, that is. It's time to step out of 2009 and in to 2010. However crappy 2010 may turn out to be, remember that there's always next year. And by the way, I strongly disapprove of the people who keep insisting that the world will end in 2012. If it ends in 2012, so be it. Stop depressing everyone by saying that we'll be gone in 2 years time.
Anyways, 2010, here I come. The first two days of this new year have already proved to be... quite normal. I don't think I'll be saying that next week. I'll probably be busy, busy, busy but fear not, for I shall not forget thee, dear blog. Har har. Shakespeare, I am not. Forget my pathetic attempt at talking medieval language.
I don't have many resolutions this year but I found this and thought it summed up a few of my plans:

Yes. And to add to the list:
- Smile more.
- Try not to curse and swear too much.
- Try to actually finish my assignments on time.
- Give my dog more attention so that he won't be so deprived and won't feel the need to run away like a silly mutt. Okay, that was unkind. I take that back...
- Tolerate more nonsense from people I hate dislike.
- Uh... do something useful with my life.
- Try not to wish for the year to end quickly seeing as it's hardly been two days since the new year.
- Complain less.
And yeah, that about sums up what I plan to do this year.
What do you plan to do?

We watched the fireworks display from the usual rooftop this year and it was amazing though I don't think it was anything great compared to all the other ones I saw on CNN. LOL. The grass on the other side always looks greener, I guess.

This is not the real picture. I just nipped it from Bing images.
![]()
And... apart from New Year's day, nothing much has been going on. Same old, same old.
I've been invited to a friend's birthday barbecue party. I'm wondering if I should go. I feel awkward at social events. I mean, I'm not unsociable... I just don't fit in because I'm not like everybody else. And I hate buying birthday presents for people because it's a hassle. I must sound pretty mean but seriously though, birthday parties and buying birthday presents are not fun things to do.
![]()
Oh, by the way,

I went grocery shopping with my mom on New Year's Eve.

School's gonna suck. Oh well. Nothing new there.

That's probably it from me today or is it tomorrow already? Ah well.
Love and peace, T.

the rest of the summer was the best we ever had
What I did these two days.

Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes.

Jude Law as Dr. John Watson.
(BTW, it's his birthday today. So happy birthday, Jude Law.
)

Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler.

Very smart movie. And very worth watching.

Eddie Murphy as Dr. Dolittle.

Do you believe in talking to animals? (:

Alvin and the Chipmunks : The Squeakquel. Not as bad as I thought.

The Chipettes - Jeanette (Anna Faris), Brittany (Christina Applegate), Eleanor (Amy Poehler).

Alvin, the witty chipmunk, voiced by Justin Long.

Simon, the brainy chipmunk, voiced by Matthew Gray Gubler.

Theodore, the chubby chipmunk, voiced by Jesse McCartney.

Step Up 2 : The Streets.

Starring Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman.
I am a movie maniac after all.
Unexpectedly good movies, I gotta say.
Less music, more movies, please.
x
Craving for :

Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2.
Why did the freaking* thing crash? No one is willing to reinstall it. First, I'm so happy I get to do something that actually kills time. Then, the freaking* thing has to black out and crash. And then, no one cares. Story of my life.
x

How do you, how do you.. listen to music?
Ignore me.

Two more days. Stoked! I think.
i can’t turn this around, i keep running into walls
You know what?
I think I'm a genius. I keep picking out crazy books. My keen eye for books has been too eager, leading me to make mistakes I shouldn't have made. But then again, that's where you learn from. The bloody mistakes you wish you could take back after you realize how stupid you've been.

Sigh. I've just read one of the most complicated books ever to be written. It's by Ann Brashares and it's called The Last Summer of you and me. And it's just nuts. I'm having a headache after reading it and I'm not even half way through. This shows how much brain power I've used to understand what's going on. Or not. It's probably just the bad lighting in my room. The lighting that my family has been worrying about for my sake.
Example 1:
Dad comes into the room and looks at me, reading. He stands there for a moment, hand on his hip then goes: Are you trying to spoil your eyes? or Is this light bright enough? Do you want me to bring in the reading lamp?
No, thanks Dad.
Example 2:
Then, aunt sits down on the bed and looks down at me for a while. She goes, Why don't you angle yourself this way so that your shadow isn't blocking the words? It's not bright enough in here.
So yeah. That light is probably giving this headache. Bleh! :/
Anyways, I was talking about the book. Yeah. It's complicated. It has too much tiny, microscopic detail of everything about everything. You know what I mean? First it's in the past then it's in the future then it's about the past again. There's too much history, too much detailed emotion, too much craziness about coming home and going away. There isn't much of a story like that anyway. Should've known but I was blinded by... my greed to devour good books.
And I never did like The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants because I found it kind of stupid but I know a lot of people love it. It's... twisted and written by the same author. Maybe I don't know how to appreciate it. Maybe I don't think like those people who reviewed it as amazing, unputdownable, deep, funny?, a good book to read during summer. Maybe I'm just too childish for 'mature' books. I don't know.
So... any fans of Ann Brashares here? I'd gladly sell this book off to you. Brand new and looks new. Um, oh great, there's a movie coming out for it too. Um, exclude me? Thanks.
x
baby you’re beautiful, there’s nothing wrong with you
Today's confession: I'm in love with Adam Lambert's songs.

The man himself.
Whataya Want From Me is our vacation song. How cool is that? Love that song. And his live performance is real.
And I've discovered that Aftermath is a pretty good song too. Yay, Adam!
x

Officially off tour. New record please. I hope they make more good music because they're real good. Toad said on their Twitter that they'll be back on tour sooner than we all think. Toad... just how soon is soon? We don't mind the wait for a new album, really.
x

I watched Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video.
Now what do I think of it...?
Hmm.. over dramatized, as usual. Costumes, main idea and all.
x
And aside from music that I listen to, I watched a Demi Lovato music video on TV today and my mom was absolutely disgusted with her screaming that people call singing. And what's with all the red lipstick? How old is she anyway? 35?
I also watched Party in the USA. It was striptease-worthy and I bet her daddy's way proud of her. I'm no fan of Miley at all. Well, make that all the Disney singers. A batch of screaming youngsters is just what we need in this generation. Way to go, Disney. Why can't we have more people like Debbie Gibson and Mandy Moore and Sara Bareilles?
x

x
You must be wondering where we've been these few days. Well, we've been having a good time, that's for sure. Now we're back.
Or more precisely, I am back.
I haven't written anything worthy lately and somebody's been egging me to. So here it is. My worthy post of pictures and random captions because I'm sooooo interesting (note sarcasm). I don't really know what to say except for Christmas is around the corner and there's nothing to suggest the spirit of joy because moods have been dampened by stupid relatives who make life hard for others.
You know what? If life didn't have any boundaries or law, I would totally stand up, throw down my napkin and just tell any jerk in their faces to eff off. People can only take so much and if you're making life hard for everybody, someone needs to tell you that we're not your stepping stones and we don't do shoe-shining like Charlie Bucket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Weddings nowadays are just businesses for couples to earn profit from. How nice it must be to rip people off and drain their wallets dry while you celebrate your marriage and expect people to shower you with cold hard cash and gifts. Killing two birds with one stone?
x
I hate being the only one who listens and cares. I'm not Superman. I can't swallow all of it down and I know it's hard for them too but it's always me the people run to whenever they have something to complain or shed tears about. I care and I want to listen and I want to help you but a triple dose of it everyday just makes me wish I was elsewhere.
And then there are people who are so wrapped in their own business and oblivious to the real world and the harsh truth of life. They just live life as if nothing is happening because they don't care and it doesn't concern them in any way. Go on, blast music, continue spending money like water, continue eating like there's no tomorrow, slice your wrists when you do realize that there is pain in this world, throw hissy fits when nothing pleases you, sulk in the corner, wait for someone to feed you with a silver spoon, ignore us. When you step out into the real world, you won't have a chance.
What do I care?
No one ever said life would be easy.
Where are those headphones when I need them???
x
I'm no cynic, no, I got a heart of gold.
This line speaks the truth and only the truth about my personality.
x

I bought new flip flops. Ya can't beat that.

Woot. 900 posts in 1 year and two months. Something to celebrate about?

I WANT TO WATCH SHERLOCK HOLMES!!!!!!!!!!
