This morning was special.

I took the opportunity to spend some father-daughter-and-brother time since it has been a while since I've gone out with my daddy alone. Well, not really alone because my brother came along too. I used to be more of a daddy's girl (not that I wasn't a mama's girl either) because I'd volunteer to go to hardware stores, computer events and his office. Just the two of us back when I was younger. I enjoyed the times when I would be pampered with slight treats and special conversations and tiny confessions that my dad would tell me. Memorable times. I miss them at times.

And since I didn't want to rot in front of my PC with nothing to do for the entire morning while they went out, I convinced myself to go. Plus, Cheez is sick and all so it's been seriously dead beat boring.

OMG. I love weekend mornings. I slept in and that felt so good.

Instead of sleeping more, I got out of bed and got ready to go out. Dad also said something about breakfast so I was kind of tempted. Confessions of a glutton. :X Oh well.

So we went.

Parking was a little tough but knowing my daddy, he found one in no time. We walked a lot but the places we wanted to eat at were closed so finally we settled for a dingy restaurant and had some so-so food. The ice lemon tea wasn't as lemony as I liked but still..

OMG, there were some beggars coming round, asking for money. When Dad went out to scout around the stalls outside, a beggar woman came and asked for money. My brother and I were nervous till our fingers were all stiff because come on, admit it, there are loads of fake beggars or scammers or bad people out there cheating people so we just pressed our lips close and didn't breathe till she went away. Creepy shiz. Seriously, how can you tell if a beggar is real? My heart used to go out to beggars and poor people but now it's difficult to take pity on people who ask for money and look like trash.

After that while we were eating, came another beggar woman. Dad, whose heart is sometimes too good for his own sake, dropped a few coins into her box thingy while my brother and I stared at each other with OMGWHATINTHENAMEOFMONKEYSISDADDOING??? Thank God she turned to another table quickly.

We scarfed down breakfast brunch and got the hell out of there. No more dingy coffee houses for me. -shudder-

Once we were out of sight of that place, I felt better. And what was with the weather this morning? So frigging hot, my head almost melted into my neck like an ice cream. We popped by a hardware store where Dad bought a set of tweezers for some reason.

We walked and walked to a PC shop where Dad and my brother spent quite some time looking at stuff I wouldn't know. I was bored but nevertheless I had nothing to complain about. There was air cond which kept me cool. Except for the weird male characters in the shop, I didn't mind the wait.

After that, we walked back to the car which was quite far away but whatever. Finally.. we reached the car which was burning hot because of the heat. Thank God for my still-new sunglasses. (: Dad should get a pair. He's been admiring those golfer's sunglasses which are pretty horrific actually but.. that's Dad. His fashion sense is a little whack. ;D

Dad stopped by a bakery to buy lunch for Cheez and I think he nearly bought all the raisin bread in the bakery because when I looked at the bags he was carrying I was stunned. Never mind at least now I know what's for breakfast tomorrow.

Home we went after dropping by the bakery.

That was a pretty okay morning even if the area we went to was pretty dingy and stuff. (:
