Spuddy Buddies

Steve Madden

a smell of wine and cheap perfume

The Losers. Now that was a pretty good show if I must say so myself. I read some negative reviews about the movie but I personally found it entertaining and not quite as bad as they say it is. Went with the family so it was good company and good movie wrapped in one. Perfect!

Everyone in the cinema couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire movie. Yes, it was just plain funny and sometimes laughably corny but funny all the same. It's a bit predictable but there are some turns and some pretty intense moments which make it all the more interesting and I sound like a big fat ad but I can't help it because it's true.  :D

I like the cast. I think they chose really suitable people to portray the characters so that helped. I mean, I still can't decide who I like best in the movie. Zoe Saldana was smoking hot but isn't she nearly always? I mean, that's why she's on the list of hottest women, right? Oh, and why are all the baddies in the movies such business-like people? What happened to those rugged bad boys and wicked guys? Look at Iron Man 2, for instance. That Justin Hammer was perpetually dressed in a clean suit just like Max in this movie.

The weapons were kinda cool and not as exaggerated as you might think. I like how everyone has their own specialty and quirkiness especially Jensen's button-cute tees - ;) - . It makes everything more realistic. The script was well-written. I think the beauty of a movie depends mostly on the script. You can have good actors and good sets and good everything but if the script is lousy, there goes the movie. The soundtrack is also important because who doesn't like music?

Ohmyfreakinggawd, Chris Evans is nerdy hot in the movie. I always thought of him as cute (Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four *wink wink*) but when I realized that the cute geek in the movie was him, I just fell for him. Swoooon. LOL. I know my mom thinks he's pretty darned cute too. Hmm... cuter than Paul Walker?

Muahahahaha. Just maybe, hmm?

The Takers is next on our list of movies to watch.

one thing about you

Rules: We all are fans. Be it Star Trek or Twilight, you are a fan of something. Pick a subject, book, TV or movie series. Now tell us all about it!

1. The first character I fell in love with: I think it was, um, I don't know, Dimitri from Anastasia?

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Sawyer from Lost. LOL.

3. The character I would shag anytime: -

4. The character I'd slap: Bella from Twilight, d'oh.

5. Who are my 3 favorite characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Viktor Navorski from The Terminal. How random.

6. What are my 3 favorite pairings: Oooh, I love this! Blair and Chuck on Gossip Girl. Jesse and Susannah in the Mediator Series. Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swan. Muahahaha, sorry Will Turner. Oh, and Tony Stark and Pepper Potts in Ironman. Sawyer and Kate on Lost. That's five pairs but whatever.

7. Which character I'm most like: I don't know but being Blue Bailey from the book Natural Born Charmer would definitely be cool. And being Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Kickass women, y'know.

8. The coolest thing about the canon: Whud?

9. The lamest crappiest thing about the canon: ??? What canon ???

10. My guiltiest pleasure in this fandom: Spending hours in front of the TV but they don't show anything nice on TV anymore... Or maybe it's because I haven't had the time for that noise box. Oh, and romcoms.

11. What story I wish I could read (or art I wish I could see): Not sure. But I'd like to see the original Mona Lisa.

12. What story I wish I had written/still want to write: Actually, I want to complete at least one of my own. I have loads but they're never finished. What does this say about me?

Meme stolen from SundayStealing.

This was fun.

I’m sick of laying down alone with this fever

Images from Bing.

We - me, C and the brother - watched Zombieland the other day and it was pretty good though the brother disagreed. He thought it was rather dumb and well, it is kind of predictable and everything but it's a movie you'd watch again and again on rainy days. The movie had some similarities to Left 4 Dead - the weapons and the amusement park.

I really like the cast. Jesse Eisenberg as Columbus; Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee; Emma Stone as Wichita; and Abigail Breslin as Little Rock. We're a little like Columbus - the odd one out and paranoid and hygiene-conscious and all that. I have yet to overcome my fear of clowns. Woody Harrelson is the perfect cowboy for this zombie movie and he's just so funny to watch. I always liked Abigail Breslin. She's just amazing and she's not as catty as Dakota Fanning. Dakota is catty, isn't she? She's got that 'I'm so grown up and I'm so great now' look which I don't really like. And Emma Stone? I totally didn't know that she was from The House Bunny because she looks different.

Anyways, this movie deserves a 8/10 because it's not that scary and it's perfectly watchable. :) Go watch it if you haven't. My favorite part was when Tallahassee finally got his Twinkie. I liked the Bill Murray scene least.

Next on my must-watch movie of the month : Ironman 2.

This is Assassin's Creed.

9.5/10 for me! I'm no big or professional game reviewer but I thought this game was so amazing. I don't regret playing it. At first I was like blah then I didn't see any harm in trying a new game. I was so intrigued by the storyline that I was practically glued to the screen.

So the story is about Desmond Miles, a bartender, kidnapped by Abstergo Industries. They use an Animus to recover an artifact in Desmond's ancestor's memories. Then, Desmond goes into the Animus.

Meet Altair.

He's Desmond's ancestor and he's an assassin. Most of the game is from Altair's point of view. He's not Desmond, they just look very much alike with similar features. I love his skills and agility. The way he jumps from building to building and climbing towers and blending in with the crowds. It makes me look up to him as if he wasn't a fictional person. There's also the Eagle Vision ability which comes useful in time. Altair's choice of words are really good and I love the way he walks (LOL).

This is Kristen Bell. She is the face and the voice of Lucy Stillman, Desmond's ally.

I think she looks like a nice person, doesn't she? I loved the conversations between Lucy and Desmond. My brother was right - listening is one of the fun parts of the game.

The whole ride through the game was very enjoyable. It takes days to finish this game because of the impossibly good and long storyline. That's what attracts a gamer, right? A long game with good stuff all the way.

The story is something like this - Altair breaks the rules of the Assassin's Creed. Al-Mualim (the leader of the Assassins) demotes him from Altair's rank, Master Assassin, and gives him another chance to prove himself by assassinating nine people to bring peace but there's a tenth person actually... Well, I won't spoil the ending for you if you haven't played it. I also learned a few memorable quotes. Very unexpected and sudden ending if you did not suspect a thing in the starting.

The game was slightly hard and complicating but challenging and very worth it. I love how things happen in the Animus and outside of the Animus. Amazingly awesome. Oh, did I mention that the music is equally amazing? The music keeps your adrenaline pumping and thrills rolling in your stomach.

All I wanna say is, the game doesn't end as soon as it seems. Don't expect too much and it will be fun.

Meet Ezio Auditore.

He is a descendant of Altair and an ancestor of Desmond. He is Italian and the main character in Assassin's Creed II. He has two hidden blades.

I'm gonna mark down the release date of Assassin's Creed II for PC. (: I'm soooo looking forward to the sequel.

I love you and I'm sorry I'm such a gamer.

i’ve been looking for the answer somewhere

27 Dresses.

Totally worth watching. 9.5/10 for me. Wonderful storyline.

I was really excited when I saw it was on TV already. T suggested we watch it a few years back and when I said, "Let's go watch it", the movie was already off the cinemas. And lucky for me, I was watching TV before the movie started. :D

It was worth my 1 hour and 51 minutes. I was practically glued to the screen. My daddy even let me watch the whole movie before going out. Yay.

Katherine Heigl was amazing. I loved her character, Jane. A fun wedding lover who helps others without thinking about her own needs. The beginning of the movie was already attractive. She kept going back and forth to these two weddings she had to attend and it's hilarious that she changes between two dresses in the back of a cab. LOL moment for me.

James Marsden's smile is to die for. He plays Kevin (I'm glad people didn't call him Malcolm, his other name), a (charming and adorable) writer for a newspaper who slowly falls in love with Jane. I loved how he wrote his name on every Friday in Jane's planner. Another LOL moment.

One of my favorite scenes - after Jane tries all her 27 dresses and Kevin comments on every dress.

I thought Tess, Jane's sister, was rather b*tchy but I guess she was okay after she revealed she was just trying to be like Jane. And George was one of the interesting characters too.

Conclusion : They should have more movies / love stories like that because I really, really loved this movie. They don't just focus on two same characters but it focuses on other characters and problems. Definitely looking forwards to more movies like that.

27 Dresses really made my day so much brighter.

Go watch it if you haven't. (:

Mr Smile. Haha!

BTW, Happy Belated Valentine's Day.

Hope you enjoyed your day with your loved ones.

We've been MIA for sometime and I predict we will be MIA in the future until we find our me-time. There hasn't been much going on but keep looking out for our posts. We're looking for interesting happenings around us actually but it's been pretty boring these days.

I'll be working on a game review soon and my top ten will probably be soon.

Okay. That's all. Take care. Ta.

you’re beautiful, it’s true

It seems like the journey to the end of the rainbow where the pot of gold is taking forever.

I can't wait till I finally see the end. I hope it'll be soon.

As you all might have noticed (for those who actually still read this), I've been really busy. I've been piled with homework and nothing else. I'll probably be free the next few weeks so wait for more posts.

These are the few things that summarize my week.

Ugh, so overrated.

Happy Saturday!

See you folks.

you took my heart away

Ooooh, baaaa! Said the little green men in Toy Story.

I kind of hate cupcakes but I like looking at them. Purple cupcakes are idealistic.

Okay, to cut to the chase, we haven't been blogging much because we've been busy, busy, busy! Really busy, I feel like flying off to another planet to take a breather. *exhales!

Sunday, I have never liked you much.

I left my heart homework on the dancefloor (so that people will step all over it and eventually it'll shred to pieces). HAHA. I'm a genius!

x

I'm having a karaoke session at home now. Saturday night, y'all.

She's gorgeous.

Guess whose? You got that right. Mine.

He is not frigging JUS*** BIE***.

I want and need a purse, preferably a Marc Jacobs one. (:

Basically, all my thoughts since I stopped blogging. Sufficient enough to keep you satiated for another week, I hope.

XOXO.

so i start a fight cause i need to feel something

Why I know that this year is going to be a hell of a ride.

Oh, totally gross but I laughed really hard when Nick tweeted this. I knew they weren't going to stay mad at each other for that long. You make me smile, Nick and Ty.

Since I'm feeling totally depressed, I'm going back to my favorite past time: Posting a gazillion pictures that will be sure to lag you out of our page. Just kidding.

This is how I feel.

Why the hell does he have to be so sexy? :/ Lol.

That's the I Wanna face.

Wish I could be that excited...

I miss Gossip Girl. Where are those episodes? I've been too busy with nothing to not watch it. Darn. Now there's not going to be anymore time.

Who cares if David looks gay? I like him and he can speak French. (:

Seb is the cutest! Love ya, Seb... and Stuey! (:

No! My dream of Katy and David being together has been crushed by Russell Brand's proposal to Katy. WHY!??!?!

They met here... at the AMAs, was it? No idea. My memory does not serve as I was not sitting beside Nick Wheeler at the event. Just kidding! :|

Anyways, they're engaged now. Katy and Russell... much to my... horror? Okay, whatev. It's none of my business. I wish her well. Him as well. Um, congratulations.

So... you and the werewolf didn't last, huh? Oh well. Better to part as friends than enemies.

You hear that, Jesse? You're WANTED! (:

Me love Cookie Monstah! Caveman talk *inside joke. :D

Screw Worst Actress of the Year. Megan Fox is hot. Kristen Stewart is a bad actress and she isn't even hot. You go, Megan! I sound like Perez but I don't give a hoot.

I saw someone wearing this that day. Back off, b*tch. Marc Jacobs is mine!

Wondering when I'm going to be able to finish watching my Las Vegas seasons.

I've been watching my brother play Batman: Arkham Asylum. It's been fun and while this Batman might be 'saving' Katy Perry, the one in the game is kicking badass.

Mmhmm. Dr Watson at your service... *hint* :]

That will be all from me.

Goodbye from your friendly neigborhood spider bat Cookie Monster! :D

x

P.S: This is me and C's convo about Chris Brown.

Me: I'm listening to Chris Brown.

C: Yeah I was just thinking how long it's been since I listened to Wall to Wall.

Me: I'm over it. *It refers to the CB-Rihanna incident.

Me: Cause I kinda hate Rihanna more now.

C: Yeah. Haha.

C: Community service FTW.

Me: LOL!!!

Heh. We're lamers.

Happy New Year again!

I'm late. Yes, I know.

Sorry about that. A new year means new things to plan and organize. Been slightly busy with this and that but I'm here now. To blog... about New Year's day and whatnot.

First off,

May this year bring you joy, happiness, wealth, prosperity, good health, whatever whatever. All good things, that is. It's time to step out of 2009 and in to 2010. However crappy 2010 may turn out to be, remember that there's always next year. And by the way, I strongly disapprove of the people who keep insisting that the world will end in 2012. If it ends in 2012, so be it. Stop depressing everyone by saying that we'll be gone in 2 years time.

Anyways, 2010, here I come. The first two days of this new year have already proved to be... quite normal. I don't think I'll be saying that next week. I'll probably be busy, busy, busy but fear not, for I shall not forget thee, dear blog. Har har. Shakespeare, I am not. Forget my pathetic attempt at talking medieval language.

I don't have many resolutions this year but I found this and thought it summed up a few of my plans:

Yes. And to add to the list:

  1. Smile more.
  2. Try not to curse and swear too much.
  3. Try to actually finish my assignments on time.
  4. Give my dog more attention so that he won't be so deprived and won't feel the need to run away like a silly mutt. Okay, that was unkind. I take that back...
  5. Tolerate more nonsense from people I hate dislike.
  6. Uh... do something useful with my life.
  7. Try not to wish for the year to end quickly seeing as it's hardly been two days since the new year.
  8. Complain less.

And yeah, that about sums up what I plan to do this year.

What do you plan to do?

We watched the fireworks display from the usual rooftop this year and it was amazing though I don't think it was anything great compared to all the other ones I saw on CNN. LOL. The grass on the other side always looks greener, I guess.

This is not the real picture. I just nipped it from Bing images.

And... apart from New Year's day, nothing much has been going on. Same old, same old.

I've been invited to a friend's birthday barbecue party. I'm wondering if I should go. I feel awkward at social events. I mean, I'm not unsociable... I just don't fit in because I'm not like everybody else. And I hate buying birthday presents for people because it's a hassle. I must sound pretty mean but seriously though, birthday parties and buying birthday presents are not fun things to do.

Oh, by the way,

I went grocery shopping with my mom on New Year's Eve.

School's gonna suck. Oh well. Nothing new there.

That's probably it from me today or is it tomorrow already? Ah well.

Love and peace, T.

29Dec/09Off

the rest of the summer was the best we ever had

What I did these two days.

Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes.

Jude Law as Dr. John Watson.
(BTW, it's his birthday today. So happy birthday, Jude Law. )

Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler.

Very smart movie. And very worth watching.

Eddie Murphy as Dr. Dolittle.

Do you believe in talking to animals? (:

Alvin and the Chipmunks : The Squeakquel. Not as bad as I thought.

The Chipettes - Jeanette (Anna Faris), Brittany (Christina Applegate), Eleanor (Amy Poehler).

Alvin, the witty chipmunk, voiced by Justin Long.

Simon, the brainy chipmunk, voiced by Matthew Gray Gubler.

Theodore, the chubby chipmunk, voiced by Jesse McCartney.

Step Up 2 : The Streets.

Starring Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman.

I am a movie maniac after all. Unexpectedly good movies, I gotta say.

Less music, more movies, please.

x

Craving for :

Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2.

Why did the freaking* thing crash? No one is willing to reinstall it. First, I'm so happy I get to do something that actually kills time. Then, the freaking* thing has to black out and crash. And then, no one cares. Story of my life.

x

How do you, how do you.. listen to music?

Ignore me.

x

Two more days. Stoked! I think.
