you didn’t wanna say goodbye

Look what I found - cute little animal slippers!

Green Sea Turtle Slippers for Kids, Women and Men

This would make me feel as if I'm in a scene of Pirates of the Caribbean. Jack Sparrow did mention something about riding on the backs of sea turtles to shore, didn't he?

Dragon Slippers for Kids, Women and Men

We recently watched How to Train Your Dragon and my head is still full of that little dragon.

Majestic Eagle Slippers for Women

Nothing better than soaring high on eagle slippers. It kind of looks like a nest but never mind that.

If you're going to get a pair, can I have one too? :)

Who’s ever made me feel this way?

"Show me the barn," she said. "Unless there are mice in there."
"Mice? Hell no. That's the only barn in the known universe without them."

- Blue Bailey and Dean Robillard; Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

There is something insanely funny in this line. I don't know what it is but I couldn't stop laughing for 5 whole minutes. God, I love this book. Best book I've ever read. I used to think that All American Girl by Meg Cabot was the best book but stumbling upon this book has changed my views slightly. I'm not saying it's not good. I just like Natural Born Charmer's storyline and characters. I can relate.

I still love myself some classics. I especially love Anne of Green Gables and The Three Musketeers. :)

tangled up in love

I am in love with this movie. I'm currently dizzy with love that I feel like doing star jumps.

One of the best Disney movies I've ever watched. The graphics were absolutely amazing and so were the characters. The storyline was very complete and very... heart-warming. The movie itself was just magical and captivating.

Where should I even start? I should start with a random fact about me during the movie. I could feel the love and warmth while watching it. It was the best feeling that I ever experienced. Don't you just love it when movies do that to you?

Rapunzel is really pretty and her personality is fantastic. I love how she's just so curious about everything. And she has those big green eyes and lovely long hair. Later on, (spoiler) her hair was still gorgeous even after it got cut off. All I can say is that Mandy Moore was the best choice to play Rapunzel. She can sing and act, so it isn't that awkward because you know it's the same person when she's singing or talking. Her voice is really good (quote my sister and mom and my thoughts).

Flynn Rider is the dashingly handsome hero of the story, of course. He's a very charming and romantic character, the Prince Charming that every girl is waiting for (or at least I am. LOL!). He's good-looking too! I just loved the way his dark hair flopped around and how every part of his face was perfect. His facial expressions were hilarious and adorable. The huge spoiler was when he revealed that his name was Eugene. I mean, what's wrong with Flynn? It's good enough and it suits him but whatever. They didn't mention Eugene a lot anyway. Zachary Levi was amazing. His voice is pretty good too and he actually sang a few songs. I never had anything against his acting or him. And Flynn was supposed to have a British accent. I'm so glad that he didn't. That would've been so... I don't know how to say it but it doesn't seem suitable for a character like that.

What can I say about Mother Gothel? She's the wicked woman, alright. She kinda reminded me of Cher. The way she looked. Maybe they used her as the face model but never mind about that. Her character was downright vicious and cruel.

Pascal, the Chameleon and Maximus, the horse, were also the highlights of the movie. Pascal was small and cute, especially when he blended in with other colors. Maximus was a horse who acted like a dog and he became good friends with Flynn in the end.

My favorite part was when the lanterns went up into the sky. It felt as if I was there too, to see the beautiful lights and everything. Magical! Okay, I have so many favorite parts but I can't name them all here. There were some emotional parts, like when the king started crying. I don't know but you can't go through those sad parts without crying. Some of the parts were cheesy, in a good way.

The soundtrack is great. Mandy Moore is a wonderful singer. I've listened to her songs when I was younger but eventually stopped because she didn't have many songs on the radio and because I was exposed to mainstream music which was (and still is) kinda stereotypical of me. I should definitely start listening to her songs again. Especially the ones with Zachary Levi in it!

Conclusion : I really love this movie and you should watch it too. Even my mom loves it. It's not cheesy; it's still very enjoyable. A very, very good movie. I would give it an 11/10 rating. I can't wait to watch it again.

Oh man, I'm still feeling giddy about this movie. Actually I've been feeling giddy about it since 4 months ago. No, it's not hard to believe. I watched the trailer about 5 times. I even posted it here.

Just watch it! And you'll understand that it's not just because I'm having that aftermath movie feeling.

Oh, Flynn Rider! (this is for my mom) OH, here comes the smolder!

movies, shows and films

If you've been reading our Tweets, you probably know that I wanna watch some movies..

Burlesque - Christina Aguilera looks great on the set. Her hair is really nice in this movie. It's not all about singing but there's a storyline. Watch the trailer and you'll know. Pretty interesting.

Image from Bing images.

Easy A - Emma Stone has become one of my favorite actresses. It's your typical high school storyline with mean girls, unpopular girls and cute guys. I'll just watch it for fun.

Jonah Hex - Megan Fox's slang is hot! Machine guns and horses? Cool! I can't miss a movie like that.

Knight And Day - Hilarious! I must watch this. The trailer made me LOL a lot. Tom Cruise in action is a must-see.

Takers - Paul Walker? Yay, eye candy! Just kidding. Not watching it because of good looks. It looks like an interesting movie. The trailer kept my eyes glued on the screen. Of course, T.I's Yeah Ya Know music video had more cut scenes from the movie. Must watch!

Image from Bing images.. again.

I don't think I'll watch Beastly. Let's just say Kyle (The Beast) looks really scary. He's not even furry! He's tattooed all over the face. I didn't even dare watch the trailer. I read the book though - dramatic at some parts and predictable and sappy. Did you even see who they cast as Lindy (a.k.a Beauty)? Another reason not to watch it. I mean, the story has a good moral value behind it but.... you know. :???:

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World? Um, no thanks. Simple and boring storyline. If I had to watch it, I'd watch it for laughing purposes and Chris Evans scenes. The usual slapstick comedy. Bleh.

Maybe I'll watch Charlie St. Cloud but only if someone can guarantee that I won't end up in tears when I leave the cinema. Ha ha! Zac Efron's fame is certainly rising.

Sucker Punch? Maybe.

If you ask me, "Do you want to watch The Losers?" I'll definitely say yes.

dont waste now, precious time

Dean Robillard: Who says you're not pretty?

Blue Bailey: Oh, it doesn't bother me. I have so much character that adding beauty to the mix would be greedy.

- Natural Born Charmer, Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

I love this book as much as I love reading which is a lot.

all we need is popcorn and a tv

Yesterday, we watched Cop Out. The beginning was super noisy because Paul (Tracy Morgan) kept shouting and it got kinda annoying. He shouted a lot throughout the movie. It didn't make the movie any funnier. Bruce Willis was, well, normal. I thought Gabriela, the Spanish woman, was pretty cute. She kept saying "Hi" and it was funny because that's the only word she could say to Paul. Adam Brody played Barry Mangold and it was disappointing because his role wasn't very important, though I thought his zebra-striped boots were hilarious.

Speaking of him, I wanna watch The Oranges and Scream 4. More Adam Brody movies!   He should be given more roles like Nikolai Wolf in Jennifer's Body. I think he's a good actor. Boo to those who dissed him because he dissed K. Stew.

Anyways, I want to watch :

1. The Sorcerer's Apprentice (starring Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel)

2. Knight And Day (Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz)

3. Easy A (starring Emma Stone and Amanda Bynes)

4. Life As We Know It (Josh Duhamel and Katherine Heigl)

5. You Again (Kristen Bell)

6. What's Your Number? (Anna Faris and Chris Evans)

And so on.

Movies that I may not watch? Probably Transformers 3 because it isn't going to be the same without Megan Fox. And maybe I won't watch The Avengers because Edward Norton isn't going to play the Hulk. But I'd watch it because Chris Evans is going to be Captain America.

Sooo... what movie next? Any suggestions?

i will be strong, i will be faithful

"What are you thinking of, Anne?" asked Gilbert, coming down the walk. He had left his horse and buggy out at the road.

"Of Miss Lavendar and Mr Irving," answered Anne dreamily. "Isn't it beautiful to think how everything has turned out... how they have come together again after all the years of separation and misunderstanding."

"Yes, it's beautiful," said Gilbert, looking steadily down into Anne's uplifted face, "but wouldn't it have been more beautiful still, Anne, if there had been no separation or misunderstanding... if they had come hand in hand all the way through life, with no memories behind them but those which belonged to each other?"

For a moment Anne's heart fluttered queerly and for the first time her eyes faltered under Gilbert's gaze and a rosy flush stained the paleness of her face. It was as if a veil had hung before her inner consciousness had been lifted, giving to her view a revelation of unsuspected feelings and realities. Perhaps, after all, romance did not come into one's life with pomp and blare, like a gay knight riding down; perhaps it crept to one's side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some sudden shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music; perhaps... perhaps... love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted  rose slipping from its green sheath.

-A Wedding at the Stone House, Anne of Avonlea

x

This particular section of Anne of Avonlea caught my attention the most and I've been thinking about it for the whole day. If you've read Anne of Green Gables, you'll be well acquainted with the main characters - Anne, Diana, Marilla, Matthew, Gilbert, Mrs Rachel Lynde, Josephine Barry and blah blah blah.

And you'll also know what happened between Anne and Gilbert. And you'll know why this part is so sweet. Unfortunately, I lost the rest of the series and I have yet to find it but I'm pretty sure they're still at home... somewhere. I know that Gilbert and Anne got married and had kids and lived happily ever after but I want to read it. ): Must hunt for books soon.

I think if I had to name one person I'm most similar to, it'd be Anne Shirley. She's dreamy and she likes to daydream and she's got a wide scope of imagination and she likes writing and she's basically just a nice person. I think that a lot of people can't associate with her dreaminess and peculiar taste and clumsy behavior and they just think that she's a featherhead. She's more than that, really.

Just needed to say that. Now I'm off to write. To infinity and beyond..!!

a smell of wine and cheap perfume

The Losers. Now that was a pretty good show if I must say so myself. I read some negative reviews about the movie but I personally found it entertaining and not quite as bad as they say it is. Went with the family so it was good company and good movie wrapped in one. Perfect!

Everyone in the cinema couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire movie. Yes, it was just plain funny and sometimes laughably corny but funny all the same. It's a bit predictable but there are some turns and some pretty intense moments which make it all the more interesting and I sound like a big fat ad but I can't help it because it's true.  :D

I like the cast. I think they chose really suitable people to portray the characters so that helped. I mean, I still can't decide who I like best in the movie. Zoe Saldana was smoking hot but isn't she nearly always? I mean, that's why she's on the list of hottest women, right? Oh, and why are all the baddies in the movies such business-like people? What happened to those rugged bad boys and wicked guys? Look at Iron Man 2, for instance. That Justin Hammer was perpetually dressed in a clean suit just like Max in this movie.

The weapons were kinda cool and not as exaggerated as you might think. I like how everyone has their own specialty and quirkiness especially Jensen's button-cute tees - ;) - . It makes everything more realistic. The script was well-written. I think the beauty of a movie depends mostly on the script. You can have good actors and good sets and good everything but if the script is lousy, there goes the movie. The soundtrack is also important because who doesn't like music?

Ohmyfreakinggawd, Chris Evans is nerdy hot in the movie. I always thought of him as cute (Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four *wink wink*) but when I realized that the cute geek in the movie was him, I just fell for him. Swoooon. LOL. I know my mom thinks he's pretty darned cute too. Hmm... cuter than Paul Walker?

Muahahahaha. Just maybe, hmm?

The Takers is next on our list of movies to watch.

one thing about you

Rules: We all are fans. Be it Star Trek or Twilight, you are a fan of something. Pick a subject, book, TV or movie series. Now tell us all about it!

1. The first character I fell in love with: I think it was, um, I don't know, Dimitri from Anastasia?

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Sawyer from Lost. LOL.

3. The character I would shag anytime: -

4. The character I'd slap: Bella from Twilight, d'oh.

5. Who are my 3 favorite characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Viktor Navorski from The Terminal. How random.

6. What are my 3 favorite pairings: Oooh, I love this! Blair and Chuck on Gossip Girl. Jesse and Susannah in the Mediator Series. Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swan. Muahahaha, sorry Will Turner. Oh, and Tony Stark and Pepper Potts in Ironman. Sawyer and Kate on Lost. That's five pairs but whatever.

7. Which character I'm most like: I don't know but being Blue Bailey from the book Natural Born Charmer would definitely be cool. And being Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Kickass women, y'know.

8. The coolest thing about the canon: Whud?

9. The lamest crappiest thing about the canon: ??? What canon ???

10. My guiltiest pleasure in this fandom: Spending hours in front of the TV but they don't show anything nice on TV anymore... Or maybe it's because I haven't had the time for that noise box. Oh, and romcoms.

11. What story I wish I could read (or art I wish I could see): Not sure. But I'd like to see the original Mona Lisa.

12. What story I wish I had written/still want to write: Actually, I want to complete at least one of my own. I have loads but they're never finished. What does this say about me?

Meme stolen from SundayStealing.

This was fun.

I’m sick of laying down alone with this fever

Images from Bing.

We - me, C and the brother - watched Zombieland the other day and it was pretty good though the brother disagreed. He thought it was rather dumb and well, it is kind of predictable and everything but it's a movie you'd watch again and again on rainy days. The movie had some similarities to Left 4 Dead - the weapons and the amusement park.

I really like the cast. Jesse Eisenberg as Columbus; Woody Harrelson as Tallahassee; Emma Stone as Wichita; and Abigail Breslin as Little Rock. We're a little like Columbus - the odd one out and paranoid and hygiene-conscious and all that. I have yet to overcome my fear of clowns. Woody Harrelson is the perfect cowboy for this zombie movie and he's just so funny to watch. I always liked Abigail Breslin. She's just amazing and she's not as catty as Dakota Fanning. Dakota is catty, isn't she? She's got that 'I'm so grown up and I'm so great now' look which I don't really like. And Emma Stone? I totally didn't know that she was from The House Bunny because she looks different.

Anyways, this movie deserves a 8/10 because it's not that scary and it's perfectly watchable. :) Go watch it if you haven't. My favorite part was when Tallahassee finally got his Twinkie. I liked the Bill Murray scene least.

Next on my must-watch movie of the month : Ironman 2.
