tv, movies, tv, movies and finally tv and movies

Supernatural - one of our latest addictions. We're addicted, like seriously addicted. An episode a day? We can't get enough of it! So we watch four episodes a day because we're far back from other Supernatural fans. We recently started on season 2 but now we're already at season 4. Sam and Dean are really addictive too! I mean, they're not amazingly gorgeous but they are pretty good looking.
Dean is the live wire of Supernatural with his bad a** attitude and sarcastic remarks. Sam is more thoughtful and positive but he can be funny too. Anyways, Supernatural may be scary but there are those funny parts that cheer me up. Not to mention, I love Dean's sexy vintage Impala.
P.S. Jensen Ackles (Dean) is a really good singer!! And Supernatural makes me appreciate rock music!

On the other hand... I can't wait to start on Chuck. Every year, I catch at least one or two episodes (normally on bad days). I cheer up every time I watch it because it's really funny. I remember one episode about Chuck and Sarah having this complicated love relationship and I totally fell for it! It was so sweet and frustrating at the same time. That's what caught my attention - it made me feel happy. After watching Tangled, I don't think that I can say no to a Zachary Levi show. I can't wait!!

Next but not least, White Collar caught my attention. We saw it on TV and we were, like, Okay, let's watch this. And I will. Pretty soon. I read the storyline that day and it seems quite interesting. So.... "Favorite TV Obsession" for a People's Choice Award in 2010, huh? Okay, I'll tell you the truth : Like super duper OMG! I can't wait!!!

Lastly, Justified! I remember staying up to watch the Pilot episode. At first, it was boring but after that, things got exciting. I love Boyd Crowder's character. Not for the negative things he does, but how he turns into a calm and religious person in season 2. And yes, I do love Raylan Givens' cowboy hat. I'd love to own a Stetson someday. Count me in for Southern accents.

Wait! I'm not done! Don't forget The Walking Dead. More Southern accents. TV shows are great! I love Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes. All those emotions... especially his love for his wife and son. Being a huge fan of Left 4 Dead, I didn't want to miss out a zombie TV show. Can't wait for season 2 with 13 episodes!
Okay, end of TV obsession post. Anyways, you should check these TV shows out. It's different from other TV series like Bones, CSI, Gossip Girl and blah blah blah.
trends for spring 3

Who can deny the fierceness of animal prints? Unlike Cruella de Vil, now you can have animal printed clothes without stripping fur from animals. I love animal prints as I've mentioned in previous posts. Especially leopard prints. Not to mention I love ruched fabric. So basically, this is one of my ideal dresses. Animal prints turn heads. They basically scream 'sexy and ferocious' so if you're looking for some good old attention, try this dress. Subtle femininity with a throaty purr. Don't color-clash with printed heels that are not of the same material. Maybe some open-toe pumps or strappy heels. If I were wearing this dress, I'd probably accessorize with perfect Katy Perry-esque Kitty Purry nails.
Side note: Please stop harming the animals for your own selfish reasons.

Nude Beaded Shift Dress
Now this looks like something Taylor Swift would wear. All the glitter and sequins. I would go for minimal accessories and try to avoid wearing a necklaces or chokers. Just keep it simple and go with a cocktail ring or chunky bangles as shown in the picture.

Vanessa Animal Maxi Dress
Looking for Serena Van der Woodsen-esque dresses to pack for your tropical holiday where it's still warm enough for dresses like these? You've found it. This dress is actually part of the Miss Selfridge for Gossip Girl collection. Better suited for women with the height to carry it off. Accessorize with straw hat, sunglasses and maybe a cute hobo and you're all set to go.
trends for spring 1

Navy Cowl Belted Midi Dress
I love anything navy. Navy is neutral enough that you can pair it with almost any other color except for maybe neon green. This casual dress comes with a skinny belt that gently outlines your curves. Its cowl neck gives the dress a little more style and texture so that it doesn't appear to be a boring old flowy shift-like dress. Pair this dress with heels, flats or oxfords - they'll work out pretty well, I imagine.

Burgundy Drop Waist Dress
Going out for a casual/dressy date or just a small gathering at home? I think this would be the perfect dress for either occasion. Looks simple enough to be casual and stylish enough to be dressy. Don't you just love dresses that accommodate for all sorts of occasions? This way, you won't have to dig through your entire closet or rip your hair out trying to find something suitable. For dressier dates, why not try bundling your hair into a loose chignon like this:

Petites Black Grecian Dress
Drop waist dresses flatter taller women but this dress is for petites. Very simple and chic design with a small nip at the waist to flatter your body. No doubt sky high pumps would pair well with this dress but if you're not comfortable with them, low-heeled pumps or strappy sandals will complete your look.
lately i’ve been hard to reach

The Tourist doesn't deserve more than one star out of five. I expected lots of action and exciting scenes like Salt, seeing that it's an Angelina Jolie movie but there were barely any. The storyline wasn't even very good - pretty boring and unreasonable. I mean, would you pretend to be someone's husband after meeting on a train? I don't think so. I think it was Angelina's creepy slow-mo act that spoiled it all. She lowers her eyelashes, lifts them back up, tilts her chin up, speaks and finally stands up. Seriously, dude, just get to the point. Johnny Depp is a great actor, as usual. His "American" accent was just weird and his lame attempts to speak Italian was hilarious. The only thing I enjoyed seeing was the scenery of Venice. All in all, I laughed really hard throughout the movie because it was so cheesy and unexciting.

Iron Man 2 was equally boring. I love Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow but I have to say that this one didn't live up to my expectations. I didn't like Don Cheadle because he was too serious and super boring. Terrence Howard's James Rhodes was funnier and likable. Mickey Rouke's villain was annoying and, once again I have to say, boring. Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer was highly irritating with that constant sneer across his face. It made me yawn to see Scarlett Johansson strutting around in a tight dress and play the supposedly gorgeous-but-serious undercover agent. Samuel L. Jackson's character in the movie made it even worse. Could've been so much better like the first movie.

On the bright side, How To Train Your Dragon was a really good movie. I didn't expect or think much about it but I thought it would have Pixar-like graphics and have a dumb storyline. Surprisingly it was nothing like how I imagined it to be. The graphics were great and quite realistic; the story was attention-stealing (I'm still thinking about it now); the cast was good. Jay Baruchel's character was the typical nerd/loser type who always gets a happy ending. Gerard Butler's character really surprised me, with the Scottish accent and all. I mean, who knew? America Ferrera was another unexpected character in the movie as Astrid (Jay's Hiccup's love interest) who wasn't very likable at the starting because she was mean and proud. As the story progressed, all the characters became nicer. I love Toothless too. He reminds me of a dog-catfish mix. 8.5/10 rating for this movie, definitely.

If you're a fan of movies with twists and turns at the end, then you've probably watched Salt. I watched it three times and the excitement never faded. It is the true meaning of a movie that 'keeps you on the edge of your seat'. It left me breathless to watch Angelina Jolie leap from roof-to-roof and van-to-van. Each scene had its own type of excitement. The story was so well-planned that watchers like me didn't suspect a thing about the good characters until Liev Schreiber's Ted Winter decided to show off his true colors. I bet it was seriously tiring to film the whole movie but it also made me tired because of all the running around and urgency. Good movie, but it's the type of movie that you only want to watch once.

Keith is another movie I'd like to praise. I didn't like the dark and dim setting at some scenes but overall, it was good. Nicholas Sparks-like storyline, great actors and good ratings - what more could I ask for? I loved the fun and imaginative, quick and sharp conversations between the two main characters. It was really enjoyable and funny to watch. I must admit that I was curious to watch Jesse McCartney act since I love his music and, well, it's something to think about. It's also my first time watching Elisabeth Harnois and she's quite a good actor. She isn't insanely gorgeous but she's good enough and played Natalie, the have-it-all really well. My emotions constantly changed throughout the movie, according to the storyline, from happiness to anger to humor and annoyance, sadness and sympathy and finally to confusion. Weird, huh? I'm a little confused with the ending and it left my thoughts befuddled but it was a nice movie anyway. Definitely recommended.
someday we’ll figure all this out

OMG. I love Jennifer Aniston's new do! It's so classy yet so fun! This is such a great change from all her long locks. If I should ever go blond (probably never), I'd want my hair to be this amazing.
please don’t have somebody waiting on you

A short update from me, since I haven't exactly been acting like a real blogger these days though I've been writing a few posts here and there.
I just found out that Owl City's Adam Young answered to Taylor Swift's song, Enchanted on Valentine's Day with his own version on the song. Wow. It must've made her day after her breakup with that Prince Of Persia dude. His version of Enchanted is a little too fast, more of his electropop type of music. The lyrics are changed here and there, making it more of a reply than a cover. It's quite sweet actually. It'd be great if they end up together since he's the "shy boy" and she's the girl-next-door. This isn't really my business but that's what the fans are saying!
tangled up in love

I am in love with this movie. I'm currently dizzy with love that I feel like doing star jumps.
One of the best Disney movies I've ever watched. The graphics were absolutely amazing and so were the characters. The storyline was very complete and very... heart-warming. The movie itself was just magical and captivating.
Where should I even start? I should start with a random fact about me during the movie. I could feel the love and warmth while watching it. It was the best feeling that I ever experienced. Don't you just love it when movies do that to you?
Rapunzel is really pretty and her personality is fantastic. I love how she's just so curious about everything. And she has those big green eyes and lovely long hair. Later on, (spoiler) her hair was still gorgeous even after it got cut off. All I can say is that Mandy Moore was the best choice to play Rapunzel. She can sing and act, so it isn't that awkward because you know it's the same person when she's singing or talking. Her voice is really good (quote my sister and mom and my thoughts).

Flynn Rider is the dashingly handsome hero of the story, of course. He's a very charming and romantic character, the Prince Charming that every girl is waiting for (or at least I am. LOL!). He's good-looking too! I just loved the way his dark hair flopped around and how every part of his face was perfect. His facial expressions were hilarious and adorable.
The huge spoiler was when he revealed that his name was Eugene. I mean, what's wrong with Flynn? It's good enough and it suits him but whatever. They didn't mention Eugene a lot anyway. Zachary Levi was amazing. His voice is pretty good too and he actually sang a few songs. I never had anything against his acting or him. And Flynn was supposed to have a British accent. I'm so glad that he didn't. That would've been so... I don't know how to say it but it doesn't seem suitable for a character like that.
What can I say about Mother Gothel? She's the wicked woman, alright. She kinda reminded me of Cher. The way she looked. Maybe they used her as the face model but never mind about that. Her character was downright vicious and cruel.
Pascal, the Chameleon and Maximus, the horse, were also the highlights of the movie. Pascal was small and cute, especially when he blended in with other colors. Maximus was a horse who acted like a dog and he became good friends with Flynn in the end.
My favorite part was when the lanterns went up into the sky. It felt as if I was there too, to see the beautiful lights and everything. Magical! Okay, I have so many favorite parts but I can't name them all here. There were some emotional parts, like when the king started crying. I don't know but you can't go through those sad parts without crying. Some of the parts were cheesy, in a good way.
The soundtrack is great. Mandy Moore is a wonderful singer. I've listened to her songs when I was younger but eventually stopped because she didn't have many songs on the radio and because I was exposed to mainstream music which was (and still is) kinda stereotypical of me. I should definitely start listening to her songs again. Especially the ones with Zachary Levi in it!
Conclusion : I really love this movie and you should watch it too. Even my mom loves it. It's not cheesy; it's still very enjoyable. A very, very good movie. I would give it an 11/10 rating. I can't wait to watch it again.
Oh man, I'm still feeling giddy about this movie. Actually I've been feeling giddy about it since 4 months ago. No, it's not hard to believe. I watched the trailer about 5 times. I even posted it here.
Just watch it! And you'll understand that it's not just because I'm having that aftermath movie feeling.
Oh, Flynn Rider! (this is for my mom) OH, here comes the smolder!

just gonna stand there and watch me burn

Megan Fox at Teen Choice Awards.
Omg, I love what she's wearing from head-to-toe. This ensemble is super cute and so wearable for many occasions. The metallic skirt paired with the colorful top makes it look like a two-toned dress. And I like that the belt isn't one of those fugly chunky waist belts that we see very often nowadays. Need I saw more about those open toe purple pumps?!

You have to like a girl who knows how to dress up and dress down. She's my kind of fashion icon.
x
hey soul sister I don’t wanna miss a single thing

Megan Fox is such a babe.
I love her cameo in the new Eminem ft. Rihanna video. Amazing stuff so go watch it. Eminem is good stuff, I'm telling you. And though I'm not a huge fan of Rihanna, I have to say she does sound less whiny which is good because sometimes I can't stand her voice.
movies, shows and films
If you've been reading our Tweets, you probably know that I wanna watch some movies..
Burlesque - Christina Aguilera looks great on the set. Her hair is really nice in this movie. It's not all about singing but there's a storyline. Watch the trailer and you'll know. Pretty interesting.

Image from Bing images.
Easy A - Emma Stone has become one of my favorite actresses. It's your typical high school storyline with mean girls, unpopular girls and cute guys. I'll just watch it for fun.
Jonah Hex - Megan Fox's slang is hot!
Machine guns and horses? Cool! I can't miss a movie like that.
Knight And Day - Hilarious! I must watch this. The trailer made me LOL a lot. Tom Cruise in action is a must-see.
Takers - Paul Walker? Yay, eye candy! Just kidding. Not watching it because of good looks. It looks like an interesting movie. The trailer kept my eyes glued on the screen. Of course, T.I's Yeah Ya Know music video had more cut scenes from the movie. Must watch!

Image from Bing images.. again.
I don't think I'll watch Beastly. Let's just say Kyle (The Beast) looks really scary. He's not even furry! He's tattooed all over the face. I didn't even dare watch the trailer. I read the book though - dramatic at some parts and predictable and sappy. Did you even see who they cast as Lindy (a.k.a Beauty)? Another reason not to watch it. I mean, the story has a good moral value behind it but.... you know.
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World? Um, no thanks. Simple and boring storyline. If I had to watch it, I'd watch it for laughing purposes and Chris Evans scenes. The usual slapstick comedy. Bleh.
Maybe I'll watch Charlie St. Cloud but only if someone can guarantee that I won't end up in tears when I leave the cinema. Ha ha! Zac Efron's fame is certainly rising.
Sucker Punch? Maybe.
If you ask me, "Do you want to watch The Losers?" I'll definitely say yes.
