when it’s time to live and let die

Green Day is the awesomest.

I love their music. And I love Billie Joe.

How can you not like them? They're not freaky rock bands like Slipknot and MCR. And Billie Joe writes amazing songs.

I have yet to finish listening to their whole album. 21st Century Breakdown.

Lyrics to the song:
Do you know what's worth fighting for
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take you breath away
And you feel yourself suffocating?
Does the pain weigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Did someone break your heart inside?
You're in ruins...

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I

When you're at the end of the road
And you lost all sense of control
And your thoughts have taken their toll
When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul
Your faith walks on broken glass
And the hangover doesn't pass
Nothing's ever built to last
You're in ruins

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I

Did you try to live on your own
When you burned down the house and home?
Did you stand too close to the fire?
Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a stone

When it's time to live and let die
And you can't get another try
Something inside this heart has died
You're in ruins

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I

By the way, we're joining in on Blogathon 2009. We have been participating since 2007.

For those who don't know what Blogathon is about, it's a marathon where you blog for 24 hours to raise funds for whatever charity that you're trying to raise money for. This year, we've decided to go with the Best Friends Animal Society. Kind of like ASPCA but not the same.

This is basically the description that I plucked off Blogathon.org:

What’s a Blogathon?

First some terminology: “blog” is a shortened version of “weblog” which is a frequently updated personal website. Most blogs have date stamps on the entries, and consist of links and commentary.

Now, remember when you were in school and you would bowl for charity? And for every pin you knocked down you got, say, ten cents? Or run for a dollar a mile? During the Blogathon, people update their websites every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. For this, they collect sponsorships. Pledges can be a flat donation, or a certain amount for every hour the blogger manages to stay awake.

So please be kind and sponsor us. The money does not go to us. It goes straight to the society to help the animals and stuff.

Remember. You are doing this for a good cause.

18 more days to go.
