it’s just not good for you
That was totally fun!
It was our luck. Once we got into the car, Save You was playing on the radio and we got so excited. Great way to start the countdown. New Year's Eve is probably the best time to listen to the radio. And the day the radio ain't playing shizzy stuff like advertisements and stupid songs. We heard great songs.
We left at nine something and parked on the roof. Everyone was paying their tickets. They were going up but we were going down into the shopping mall. Most of the shops had their shutters rolled down already. It was weirdly quiet and unlively. The other shopping mall was certainly lively. I gotta admit it was kinda eerie with hardly anyone walking around.
We headed straight for Starbucks. On our way there, we passed by Baskin Robbins. They were packing up! Talk about bad timing. It's New Year's Eve and it's the 31st thing and they're packing up, hours before New Year! Oh, well. Not really my problem if they don't want business. Everyone looked at us weirdly because we were wearing caps inside a shopping mall. Whatever.
We ordered lots of coffee to keep ourselves awake. Yummy! Unfortunately, I drank it too quickly and I didn't feel so good but it went away, eventually. I shouldn't do that.
It was delicious. I love, love, love coffee.
Aside from that, we watched Transporter 3 while waiting. Interesting. We didn't watch it all there because it was really noisy so we couldn't hear a thing and the cast didn't sound like they were speaking English or anything, mumbling a bunch of crap. That stupid woman singing up there should seriously stop screeching. I felt like sticking my fist down her throat. Time passed really quickly. We packed up and made our way up to the roof.
Oh my God. Honestly, I think shivers were going up all our spines. Most of the lights were off and it was even quiet, now that there were a few minutes left. Even more shops were closed. There were two people walking in front of us. Look in all directions and all we could see were emptiness with no people. We went up to our car.
Lots of people were there. How smart. Not many people were there last year. We put all the coffee inside our car, drank some water, brought out the camera equipment and kept unnecessary stuff inside the car. We positioned all the stuff. Me and Taco sat inside the car because we are scaredy cats. We hate the loud noise. I wasn't really inside the car. Half inside, half outside. I was pretty disappointed because there was no countdown like, FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE, KA BOOM! It's not really fun like that but I enjoyed it, all the same.
The fireworks started out, really nicely. The glittery gold lighting up the sky first. Then the same old, same old. Green and red fireworks, like every year but at least, I think I saw some aqua. Unless I'm colour blind.
At first, I wanted to sit inside the car but there were lots of equipment on the seat so I couldn't sit. I stood a little on the outside until matchsticks began raining onto us. I felt stuff hitting my arm so I hid behind the half opened door. I felt like screaming out really loudly but unfortunately, I'm too embarrassed to scream alone.
I loved the fireworks very much. There was some purple.. AND SOME OF THEM LOOKED LIKE FAIRY DUST! It was so pretty. I love the golden glittery ones which shoot up like sprinklers. There were some squiggly ones wriggling out when it was near the end. I hoped we got a shot of that one. Three places were shooting up at the same time so I was looking left and right for quite a while. I loved it when the fireworks began shooting up quickly, making huge fireworks. It certainly deafened me for a while. This time, it wasn't as long but still... it's all good, right? My throat was very dry after that.
We all said Happy New Year to each other. The first ones, once again! Not to mention, hardly anyone clapped their hands or screaming. Seriously lousy audience. If fireworks had feelings, there wouldn't be any next year. Haha. I just came up with that. Anyway, we had a nice group hug. I felt so happy at that moment. Well, it's supposed to be Happy New Year, right?! <3
There were lots of nice remix songs when we were going back. I was very disappointed because we didn't go for supper. I didn't feel sleepy, thanks to the coffee. There was a long line at the parking machine. Thank God, it didn't take long.
We went home, changed and blogged a little. We wanted to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean marathon but sadly, we're always too lazy to do whatever we say. There was Spiderman 3 too but it's okay. We watched it too many times. We were lively and ready to rock and roll.
We watched Transporter 3 and we loved it. Kinda. I felt really sleepy when we had to watch the starting all over again. I don't like the main girl because she isn't very pretty or anything. She's some crazy psycho who has never acted in her life. I was annoyed when they kept zooming into her face because I felt disgusted. Jason Statham, as usual, was much better than James Bond. Why? Because he did all the stunts by himself! Coooooool. It was okay, all the same. We slept at 3 a.m. which felt really great.
Looking at the screen for such a long time isn't good so.. later.
